How to Identify Marvin Window and Door Products - Use the ID Link in the Header Above.

Identifying your Marvin windows or doors is the first step when you need replacement parts, warranty support, or product information. Marvin has used different identification methods over the years, so the location and style of the markings depend on when the product was manufactured.

Marvin Products Manufactured After November 2003

Modern Marvin windows and doors (late 2003 and newer) include a laser‑etched logo and product code directly on the glass. This etching is located on the interior side of the glass, typically in the lower corner of the window sash or door panel.

What the Laser Etching Includes: The etched marking provides several key identifiers:

  • CIO‑6 05 — Glass manufacturer, plant, and year of production

  • IGCC@CBA / IGMAC — Insulating glass certification

  • A05256004918 — Unique serial number

  • NFRC‑248 — NFRC certification number

  • Marvin Windows and Doors — Manufacturer name

These details allow you to confirm authenticity, determine the manufacturing date, and request the correct replacement components.

Marvin Products Manufactured Before November 2003

Older Marvin windows and doors (1983–2003) do not use laser etching. Instead, identification is found on the spacer bar—the silver metal strip located between the panes of insulating glass.

How to Identify Older Marvin Products

  • Look for the Marvin name engraved on the spacer bar.

  • The last two digits of the engraving indicate the year of manufacture.

  • The engraving may appear anywhere around the perimeter of the glass.

  • Some Marvin plants (2000–2003) used a clear adhesive label at the bottom of the glass instead of an engraving.
